3 Podcasts That You'll Love

IMG_1772.jpeg

We all have to admit, the newest fad right now is podcasts. They’ve been around for a while, but it seems it the past year not only is everyone listening to them, but everyone has one. About a year ago I started spending a lot more time in the car which led to me getting more into podcasts. So today I’m running you through my three favorites that I think will help to open the door to podcasts for all of you.

1. The Teacher’s Pet

GUYS! THIS IS THE BEST PODCAST IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!! And the numbers show it. This is now the most downloaded Podcast of all time. And so well deserved! Through this podcast, you hear the story of Lyn Dawson’s disappearance and they go through the facts and reasons why her ex-husband should be the prime suspect. He has a temper, a schoolgirl lover, and a wife that has disappeared off the face of the earth. It’s now been 36 years without a true and unbiased investigation into where Lyn went. This podcast has raised enough public outrage that the case has now been reopened and the search for Lyn’s body is in full swing still! I highly recommend this podcast to anyone, whether you’re typically into them or not. The story will captivate you.

2. How I Made This

This podcast has turned into what is probably my favorite podcast to listen to. Every episode highlights a different entrepreneur from a successful business. They talk to everyone from the creator of Dry Bar to the creator of Chipotle. It is not only fascinating to hear how these businesses were started, but also inspiring. Even listening to episodes about entrepreneurs from companies that I’ve never used/wouldn’t typically have an interest in are interesting. Plus, at the end of every episode, they feature a listener of the podcast who has also started their own small business and how they did it. While I think everyone will enjoy this podcast, I think those with an entrepreneurial spirit will enjoy it even more.

3. Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard

This is probably the most ‘real’ celebrity podcast you can find. Dax Shepard interviews a different celebrity every episode and they are captivatingly honest. He asks some pretty invasive questions (in the best way) which allows celebrities to be really honest about the experiences in their life. Even listening to episodes about celebrities that I typically wouldn’t call myself a fan of has been eye-opening. My favorite episodes so far have been Jason Batemans’s, Mila Kunis’, and Kristen Bell’s first episode. If you’re interested in learning more about your favorite actors’ life then this is definitely the podcast for you.
