How To Make 2019 Your Best Year Ever

Today I wanted to chat with you all about how I plan on making 2019 my bitch, and how you can too! I have such a great feeling about this year and all the new and exciting things that are going to happen. So here are a few of my thoughts about how I’m going to stay focused on my goals and make sure this year yields everything it possibly can.

Get Productive

This may seem simple, but for so many of us getting and staying productive can be a real challenge. I know as someone who works from home and for myself, I need a lot of self-motivation to get to work. Because I’ve been doing it for so long I feel like I’ve worked that muscle enough that it comes pretty easily to me now. Just like exercising muscles helps to get them stronger, working the mental muscle of productivity does the same thing. It may be hard at first, progress might feel slow, but if you stick to it and make a commitment to yourself to get work done, you’ll be a pro in no time.

Set Daily Goals

I cannot stress this enough. When I’m stressed at night and having trouble falling asleep because I’m thinking about everything I have to do the next day, the simple act of making a to-do checklist not only helps me to get to sleep but also helps to put me at ease that everything will be completed the next day. When you can see clearly all of your tasks for the day it’s so much easier to prioritize and accomplish them.

Embrace the Journey

Gosh, I struggle with this one all the time. It’s so hard to enjoy the ride when you’re so focused on getting where you’re going. We all have these lofty goals that we’re grinding for every single day. And some days it’s exhausting to think about how far you have to go. So try to relax and enjoy it. There are highs and lows no matter where you are in your journey. The sooner you learn to embrace them, the sooner you can appreciate them for what they teach you.

Pay it Forward

There is always someone who knows more than you and someone who knows less than you. So remember, when you learn something new, pay it forward. Helping someone else succeed will never take away from your own success. In fact, it will make your success that much sweeter because you’ll have people to share it with. So don’t forget to teach each other something this year. It will make both yours and your friend’s lives so much fuller. I also plan on doing this by sharing a lot more behind the scenes/social media advice on my blog for those of you who are interested in working towards a career in social media yourself.
