My 2018 in 50 Photos
/Welcome to my last blog post of 2018! Seriously, how did we get here? I can’t believe that this year is over. 2018 has been an amazing year of growth and learning for me. So today I wanted to do a quick rundown of some of my favorite moments and photos from this year for you. don’t forget to leave your favorite thing from this year in the comments and let’s get ready to make 2019 even better!
JANUARY
I kicked the year off right with an awesome road trip with friends. I have blog posts about each of my stops, but my favorite was definitely Zion National Park. It was gorgeous and I’m really looking forward to going back and spending more time there in the near future.
February
It was time for mine and Tara’s annual girls trip to San Francisco. We always have the best time visiting this city. It’s one of our favorites and we try to go as often as we can. We spent this entire trip doing our three favorite things: shopping, eating, and snapping photos. Basically, it was perfect!
March
I turned 24! How insane to think that was nearly a year ago now. I had a giant party with a ton of my friends and it’s one of my favorite nights from this year. I got to see nearly everyone I love in this world all in one place. What could be better than that? Then I round up a ton of my favorite people and we all went to Palm Springs to continue the celebration.
April
My very first Coachella… it’s definitely a time I won’t forget! I had so much fun listening to music, dressing up, and exploring tons of different parties. To be honest, I wasn’t even excited to go beforehand, but it turned out to be such a great weekend, so I’m really grateful I decided to just go for it!
May
My family trip to Disney World…. YAY! Disney World is one of my favorite places ever and I have some of my favorite childhood memories there. Getting to run around all four parks with my parents was the greatest escape from reality. I can’t wait to go back!
On top of getting to spend an awesome amount of time with my family, I also met my boyfriend, Conor, this month. We went on our first date on May 26th and have been together ever since! I’m so lucky to have found such a wonderful, caring, and kind man and I can’t wait to see what this next year has in store for us.
June
In June I got to explore the Pacific Northwest for the very first time. It was so awesome getting to experience a whole new part of this county I’ve never been to. Seattle was awesome and Portland is seriously one of my favorite cities in the world. I can’t wait to go back and spend more time there!
July
Two of my best friends from home, Sammi and Sam, came to LA this month. We had so much fun exploring Los Angeles together including a trip to Malibu, a day in Santa Monica, and lots of amazing food consumed. It’s always so fun when friends come to visit and I get to show them a slice of my life here in LA.
August
August could not come fast enough this year. I had been waiting since October of 2017 for August to get here because we had bought tickets to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for my dad for Christmas. On top of that, my parents bought me tickets to Hamilton for that same week and we added on Mean Girls: The Musical tickets since we had two friends who were in it. This was such a fun trip and getting to see that many shows is such a treat. I’m a total theatre nerd, so nothing could have made me happier!
September
Tara and I celebrated our four year friendiversary this month! It’s tradition that we always spend September 20th together to celebrate the first day we met. Tara is my life wife soul sister and I would be lost in LA without her. It turned out to be such a fun night with lots of food, games, and great movies!
October
I actually got to do a second trip to San Francisco this year, which was so fun. Plus, it was October which means Halloween! So I’ll admit, Halloween is third on my favorite holidays list (Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween), but this year turned out to be so much fun. I had two costumes I was very proud of, baby spice and matching boxer chicks with Tara. Playing dress up is too fun and I’m already plotting what my costume will be next year.
November
November turned out to be a pretty tough month here in Southern California because of all the wildfires here. Right before the fires started we visited Malibu Wine Safari and we were devastated to hear that much of it was burnt down. I’m so grateful that I got to experience it again before the fires started. On top of that, it was also voting day, one of the most important days in our country. I’m proud that, as always, I showed up to have my voice be heard.
December
December was my most taxing and exhausting month this year. Between vlogmas, blogging, working on other projects, and trying to still make time for loved ones, it turned out to be a bit of a tough one. However, spending the last week in New Jersey with my family, boyfriend, and best friends was the perfect way to end my year. I feel so incredibly grateful for the people I get to spend my time with. Christmas with my family is always such a joy and my favorite time of year. Needless to say, it was the perfect wrap up for 2018.
Thanks for another amazing year. See you in 2019!
